His expertise is the design of ecologically sustainable tall buildings, i.e. bioclimatic skyscrapers. His most famous bioclimatic skyscraper is the IBM Tower in Kuala Lumpur.
Christopher McCarthy of Battle McCarthy Consulting Engineers (London) leads holistic engineering design teams covering all building and infrastructure design including ecology and landscape with priority of integrating the design process.
Julian Vincent is co-director of the Centre for Biomimetics at the University of Reading. He has studied the mechanical design of plants and animals for the last 20 years. The information so gained has been applied to the design and development of novel materials, some of them "smart".
