Wouter van Dieren

Wouter van Dieren was one of the speakers at Doors 3.

Wouter van Dieren (1941), president, Institute for Environment and Systems Analysis (IMSA), Amsterdam, is initiator and editor of Taking Nature into Account, a new report to the Club of Rome. He is a social psychologist and media specialist. As environmentalist, he has published articles in numerous domestic and foreign periodicals. Between 1968 and 1990, he produced some 80 television programmes, mostly on the environment and the limits of growth. In 1970, he founded the Dutch Environmental Defence Fund, a branch of Friends of the Earth International, and has founded various other NGO's. As environmental consultant, he works for companies and governments throughout Europe and the US.
