Judith Donath is a doctoral candidate at the MIT Media Laboratory, where she designs environments for virtual inhabitants. Her thesis is on electronic communities and online identity. She is particularly interested in visualizing social activity and the presentation of self in online environments. Ms. Donath received a Bachelor's degree in history from Yale University and a Master's degree in visual studies from MIT.
