Adriaan Geuze

Adriaan Geuze was one of the speakers at Doors 3.

Adriaan Geuze (1960), director of West 8 Landscape Architecture, Rotterdam, just received the Sikkens prize for his astute response to rapidly changing visions of cities and nature in the Netherlands. He is a landscape architect with radical views about what is `natural' and `man-made'. His design commissions include prominent public spaces like Schiphol airport and public squares in Rotterdam.

West 8's important commissions include:

• 1990: Barentzplein public square in Amsterdam
• 1992: Park at Sloterdijk Railway Station in Amsterdam
• 1993-1998: Express tram railway in Utrecht
