Rem Koolhaas

Rem Koolhaas (1944) is the architect of numerous buiding projects all over the world such as the Lille Grand Palais, the Kunsthal in Rotterdam and the Villa dall'Ava in Paris. He is working for the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in Rotterdam, where he is leading a staff of architects and landscape designers. Rem Koolhaas has held several teaching positions at universities and institutes in the United States and in the Netherlands. Currently he is a Professor of Architecture at Harvard University. His work has been the object of several architecture exhibitions and has won, among others, the Progressive Architecture Award, the Prix d'Architecture of Le Moniteur, the Best Building in Japan 1991 and the Antonio Gaudi Prize.
