Caroline Nevejan
Caroline Nevejan was one of the speakers at the From Info to Action section
of Doors 3 (Saturday afternoon). Also she is one of the organisers of Doors3.
Caroline Nevejan, director of the Society for Old & New Media, Amsterdam,
studied political science and communication. She was publisher of the Amsterdam
squatter magazine Bluf and has been programming Paradiso for the last seven
years. In this position, she initiated and organised manifestations such
as `The Galactic Hacker Party' (1989); `The Seropositive Ball' (the alternative
event to the VIth World AIDS conference in 1990); `The Decolonisation of
the Imagination' (on post-colonial mind sets, 1992) and other events. Spin-offs
of these programmes include the HIVnet, an electronic network for people
with Aids, the cultural Internet provider XS4ALL and `Press Now', a European
platform for support to the independent media in former Yugoslavia.
