Benno Premsela (1920-1997) was educated at the New Art School (Nieuwe Kunstschool) in Amsterdam. Since 1956 he worked as a designer for several companies. Among other things, Mr. Premsela has been a member of the Advisory Board of Art and Architecture of the City of the Hague, he has presidented the Advisory Board of Art of the City of Amsterdam and was a member of Forum 2000 Foundation. He has held many advisory positions in the public service related to art and design and was a very influential voice for many generations of Dutch designers.
