Shin-ichi Takemura
Shin-ichi Takemura is a cultural anthropologist, teaching anthropology, international affairs, and cultural design (including ethnic arts) at Touhoku University of Art & Design.

Though originally specialized in medical & ecological anthropology (he finished his doctorate at Tokyo university), his basic interest is in the trans-cultural analysis of communication processes (including design, social interaction/human-ware, proxemics, media structure, etc.) and the "ecology of body & mind".

Now he is broadening his field of interest to "inter-species" communication, including not only contemporary forms of the subject (such as human/dolphin) but also some traditional methods of mimicry & indentification with other species like in the Chinese "Chi-kung", including "five animal play".

He has been in charge of several projects as a concept organizer and coordinator, including the "Asian Cultural Design Forum","Human Ecology Round Table" (focusing on the multi-cultural context of sports, fashion, make-up, dance, body-work, etc.)".

His team is engaged in the concept planning of several public facilities aimed at integrating physical and virtual ecology. One of the projects will be called "Eco-Aesthetic Museum", featuring his basic concept of "Ecology".
