Jeff Taylor is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in Information Studies at the University of Brighton, specializing in the social and educational applications and implications of multimedia.

His PhD thesis presents an ethnographic study of the birth of personal computing and he is currently under contract from Routledge to co-author a book 'Multimedia: A Critical Introduction' which is to be published next year, and with a related CD-ROM to follow. He is also under contract from the EU to investigate the joint development of multimedia cultural heritage products between Brighton and other European universities (as well as Internet-based teleconferencing facilities for the comparative study of media).
